Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colors flowers, so does art color life.

I know waterdrop pictures are so overdone but I love them and if you critique please be kind!
As you mention in your comments, waterdrops are overdone. Therefore, I commend you for finding a unique way to photograph a subject that has already been so thoroughly explored. Just when every possible way of photographing a waterdrop has been done, you come along with this picture and introduce another perspective. The uniqueness of this photograph is it's best quality.
There are three reasons that I feel this photograph stands out:
1. Normally, I see waterdrops on a flower, a feature, or another easily distinguishable object. In those pictures, the secondary subject can draw attention and focus away from the waterdrops, which are meant to be the main focus. In your picture the waterdrops are the main focus and the only focus. The object that holds the waterdrops is fairly indistinguishable. Is it a flower? A feather? It's hard to tell, and this causes the eye to be focused on the waterdrops instead of the background.
2. This photograph is neither color nor black and white. It was shot in color, but the only colors are black and white. Nothing fancy, just minimalistic, simple beauty.
3. The presentation of the waterdrops is unique. Often, I only see one waterdrop in a picture; yours has five. I like how they are arranged by size; they seem to tell a story. Your composition was obviously carefully thought-out and well-executed.
Overall, this is possibly one of the most perfect pictures I have seen. I usually try to find at least one flaw in a picture in order to give useful advice, but I honestly was unable to find anything that I disliked about this photograph. Truly amazing work, keep it up!

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
